This is a standard high school level algebra 2 course, taught in a way that helps regular non-mathy (or math-resistant) students get a solid foundation in algebra 2. Algebra 1 topics are thoroughly reviewed (because most students have completely forgotten their algebra 1), and then built upon with new material from algebra 2. Video lessons are clearly taught in a brain-friendly way where students follow along with guided notes. All notes and assignments are bound in one book so they don’t get lost, and students can easily flip back and review previously learned material as needed (because students easily forget concepts in algebra 2). Lots of review is built into the course, and effective learning strategies and study habits are directly taught in the course as well, to build back math confidence and give students the learning tools they need to be successful in any math course going forward.
This course covers all of the topics needed for standardized tests (such as the SAT and ACT), as well as the topics needed to move on to any math class beyond algebra 2.
The goal is to give students a solid algebra 2 foundation, setting them up for success in future math classes, such as trigonometry, pre-calculus, college algebra, statistics, or consumer math, as well as helping students reduce math anxiety and build confidence in their math ability.
